Nottingham

Nottingham is a city and unitary authority area in Nottinghamshire, England, 128 miles north of London, in the East Midlands. Nottingham has an award-winning public transport system, including the largest publicly owned bus network in England and is also served by Nottingham railway station and the modern Nottingham Express Transit tram system. Nottingham has two large-capacity theatres, the Nottingham Playhouse and the Theatre Royal, which together with the neighbouring Royal Concert Hall forms the Royal Centre. The city also contains smaller theatre venues such as the Nottingham Arts Theatre, the Lace Market Theatre and New Theatre. The city contains several notable museums and art galleries. There is a Robin Hood Pageant in Nottingham in October.

Nottingham Trent University

Nottingham Trent University (NTU) is a leading public research university in Nottingham, England. It was founded as a new university in 1992 from Trent Polytechnic. Its roots go back to 1843 with the establishment of the Nottingham Government School of Design which still exists within the university today. It is the 13th largest university in the UK. The university has three campuses: City Campus, Clifton Campus and Brackenhurst. The university has "one of the best employability records of any university in England and Wales". It maintains close ties to over 6,000 businesses and 94% of students progress to full-time employment or further education within six months of graduating. These companies include Microsoft, Toyota, Boots, Experian and Rolls Royce.
