Dundee
Dundee is Scotland's fourth-largest city and the 51st-most-populous built-up area in the United Kingdom. It lies within the eastern central Lowlands on the north bank of the Firth of Tay, which feeds into the North Sea. Under the name of Dundee City, it forms one of the 32 council areas used for local government in Scotland. Rapid expansion was brought on by the Industrial Revolution, particularly in the 19th century when Dundee was the centre of the global jute industry. Today, Dundee is promoted as "One City, Many Discoveries" in honour of Dundee's history of scientific activities and of the RRS Discovery, Robert Falcon Scott's Antarctic exploration vessel, which was built in Dundee and is now berthed at Discovery Point. Dundee accounts for 10% of the United Kingdom's digital-entertainment industry.

In 1994, under government legislation granting the title "University of Abertay Dundee" to the Dundee Institute of Technology. Since 2014 the University has promoted itself as Abertay University, is one of two public universities in the city of Dundee, Scotland. Abertay is the number one University in Europe for undergraduate computer games degrees and in the world top 25 for postgraduate computer games degrees. Abertay launched the world's first computer games degree in 1997.
