Huddersfield

Huddersfield is a large market town in West Yorkshire, England. It lies halfway between Leeds and Manchester. The town is known for its role in the Industrial Revolution, and for being the birthplaces of rugby league, Labour Prime Minister Harold Wilson, and the film star James Mason.Huddersfield is home to rugby league team Huddersfield Giants, founded in 1895, who play in the European Super League, and Premier League football team Huddersfield Town A.F.C., founded in 1908. Huddersfield is a town of Victorian architecture. Huddersfield railway station is a Grade I listed building described by John Betjeman as "the most splendid station fa?ade in England", second only to St Pancras, London.

University of Huddersfield

The University of Huddersfield (informally Huddersfield University) is a public university located in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, England. It has been a University since 1992, but has its origins in a series of institutions dating back to the 19th century. The University's main campus, Queensgate, is south-east of Huddersfield town centre. Virtually all of the University's teaching takes place on the site. University Campus Oldham (UCO), located in Oldham, Greater Manchester, opened in May 2005. It offers full and part-time courses at degree, diploma, foundation degree and postgraduate level. University Campus Barnsley, located in Barnsley, South Yorkshire. The campus offers facilities for subjects such as music, art and design, journalism and media production. The International Study Centre (ISC) at the university offers degree preparation courses for international students.
